Story 1:
Hi my name is Rastus,
I'm a 4 Year Old Border Collie with a serious limp due to a stairway accident, which made walking or running my favourite river track, a pain full experience.
I am too young to be taking tablets or be incapacitated. After 2-3 visits to Dr Mac there was a small improvement. Now-- about 10 treatments later my tail is up again and a 5km run and swim is better than a bone!! WOOF.........
Story2:
Archie is a five year old Labrador. He has been putting up with a minor form of hip dysplasia since birth and has responded very well to cartophren injections that he receives twice yearly. He is able to romp, run, and play like any normal Labrador, but is limited by a lack of strength in his back legs when it comes to leaping very high. He was always raring to go for his daily 45 – 60 minute walk and would tug on his lead in anticipation of the exercise. He always enjoyed a daily dose of tug-of-war with his favourite “blue thing” toy.
A few weeks before his fifth birthday, Archie started telling us he didn’t want to go on his walk. He would go 50 metres, then stop and lie down. Sometimes he could be coaxed into continuing, but usually, he just refused. When he did continue on, it would always be with his tail much lower than usual. He also lost all interest in his tug-of-war. He showed no signs of discomfort and wasn’t limping.
We took Archie to the vet who said that a lowered tail usually indicated a sore back. We then decided to take Archie to Dr. Michael McKibbin to see if chiropractic treatment would help him. After a few visits, Archie showed quite a bit more zeal on his walks, and began to carry his tail up. He also told us he was ready for his tug-of-war again.
Although he is not completely back to his normal self, it is evident that his back was keeping him from enjoying his usual activities. We will continue the chiropractic treatment until both we and Dr. McKibbin feel that Archie is fully back on track.
Story 3:
Jessie is my 8 year old Australian Silky Terrier.
A few months back she was attacked by another dog and shortly after noticed her back right leg trembling and lifted up off the ground. Also couldn’t jump up on the bed or chair as had no strength. In her hind quarter.
Took her to Dr McKibbin., and after the first manipulation she seemed to be brighter as if she was relieved of pain at once. Gradually over the weeks the tremors have stopped, she now has the leg placed on the ground and has improved in her general outlook and is jumping up on the bed and chairs once again.
